ICON - white spot removal

Icon is a resin that infiltrates the porosity of the tooth masking cariogenic or fluorosis white spots. It is non painful and results are instant.

Advantages of Icon white spot removal:

Non invasive - does not require a drill
Protects the area against further destruction
Does not require anesthesia and is not painful
Usually is done in one appointment

Note that certain cases do not respond well to this treatment and the results are not as perfect as shown on these images. The treatment will greatly improve the white spots but might not eliminate them. In those cases, after a discussion with your dentist a more invasive treatment can be done where the white spots are phisically removed and covered with composite resin (traditional method).
